We have years of experience, hands on installations, solar power, wind power, engineering education and a wealth of electrical knowledge. We will evaluate your project from the inside out in order to reduce your energy consumption by at least 20-80% and make a renewable energy system work for you. Our Installation Guarantee:
In addition to manufacturers warranties, Helios Electric includes a three year installation guarantee on any solar or wind power installation project. For solar energy systems this is no indication of system failure as solar systems last for 30 or more years. This installation guarantee assures our customers that installations and designs were done correctly and that we followed all proper installation guidelines and national electrical codes.

Our Experience:
Helios Electric has several years of field experience. We have installed solar in both commercial and residential
applications as well as pole mounted systems across New York. The owner is an electrical engineer with over 10 years of experience wiring residential homes and theaters and over five years experience in semiconductor research, design and testing. Along with hands on solar installations after a BS in Electrical Engineering he has taken courses in alternative energy and professional solar installation at the Farmingdale State University Solar Energy Institute in Farmingdale, NY. This is one of the largest solar research centers in the United States!
We install, maintain, inspect, design, and can even explain how solar works right down to the P-N Junction. We will be starting a solar energy Workshop in Dallas Texas. For those of you that are interested in more than just the basics, this course will cover a variety of solar topics much more in depth. The course will be a full day and includes more in depth theory and design information. We will talk about topics that include sizing up a system, solar system components, designing a system for your home, payback analysis, installation techniques, National Electric Codes, OSHA, and several other important topics pertaining to solar energy systems and design. Emergency Communication & Power:
Since we educate and teach energy independence coupled with emergency response we are a proud supporter of ARRL. ARRL is the National Association for Amateur Radio. This is a non-profit organization which participants, called "hams," use various types of radio communications equipment to communicate with other radio amateurs for public service, recreation and self-training.
The future is beginning to present the need for solar, wind and other energy systems to provide us with reliable sources of energy and communication during disasters and power failures. Licensed radio operators have been installing solar and wind power for decades at repeater sites to provide communication during power outages.
Some of our staff are licensed radio operators and we hope that more people continue to take an interest in amateur radio communication. With the introduction of Internet Radio Linking (IRP), communicating around the world and in remote villages in other countries is sparking younger interest. Scams, Fraud and Copycats:
As a consumer you will be confronted with many scams, fraud and other problems related to renewable energy. Its a growing problem that we have started to take notice of and do our best to control. We have experienced several copies of our company name and website both domestically and internationally. We have even had people lie on their resume about working for our organization. These kind of problems are handled quickly and efficiently but most realize copying dot coms is a bad idea and increases our traffic and business ten fold. Usually legal action is never required because the advertising benefits are in our favor and immediately noticeable.
As a consumer we have consulted on several projects that our clients have been scammed into. We can only warn our clients to choose your investment wisely, do your research and work with reputable companies. This is one of the reasons why we have no problems with showing ourselves on TV. Their is a lot of imported and domestic products in renewable energy that will never work correctly and should be avoided. For all our clients we take the necessary precautions to ensure the products we install are durable and reliable.
Keep in mind that names, web addresses, incorporated dates, sales permits and many other pieces of company information can be found at your state comptrollers office as well as a simple whois google search. In today's world you always need to check and see if you have entered the dot com, dot org, dot net or dot gov website. Chances are if you find a similar business elsewhere, its a copy. We expect the consumer to do his/her research before trusting a company or website and can provide any necessary information to show our credibility. Its a shame that this type of activity exists in renewable energy but in today's business world unethical is common place. We hope that people realize copies and scams do not grow long term business relationships with customers, hinder renewable energy growth and represents poor credibility in your company.
